Seventy years of hospitality, rebuilt as software.

Dinesurf started with two brothers carrying on a family legacy in hospitality that goes back over 70 years. We grew up around the guest side of the business, and we kept seeing the same gaps: bookings lost to DMs, no-shows nobody could recover, and owners with no view of who their regulars were.

So we built the system we wished those businesses had. Today it runs the full guest journey for more than 500 hospitality businesses across 8+ countries.

My role as CTO.

I own the architecture and the engineering team, and I still ship code across every layer: the web, the terminals, the payments and the AI.

  • Booking engine, deposits and Reserve with Google
  • DinesurfPOS on Nexgo N82 terminals
  • Payments, subscriptions and escrow on Paystack
  • Table management and the vendor app
  • AI staff over MCP
  • GCP infrastructure

One guest, start to finish.

Docket 01

Booking engine

40 to 60%

of visitors convert to a booking. Deposits are taken at the point of booking, which cuts no-shows, and Reserve with Google is built in so guests can book straight from search.

Docket 02

Field and Ocean Tepanyaki

₦700kto₦6.8m

Monthly reservation deposits, before Dinesurf and in the restaurant's first month on it.

Docket 03

Processed volume

The first ₦100m through Dinesurf took about a year. The second took nine weeks.

first ₦100mabout a year
second ₦100m9 weeks
Docket 04

AI staff

An MCP server with 68 actions over the Dinesurf platform. Owners run their restaurant from ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini: tonight's briefing, deposits, guest lookups and reminders, with a confirm step before anything is sent.

Docket 05

DinesurfPOS

A React Native POS built for Nexgo N82 terminals, with Global Accelerex payments and EMV chip card processing, so the bill is paid on the same system that took the booking.

Docket 06

Billing and escrow

Subscription billing and escrow on Paystack, with recurring charges handled by a custom Laravel module.

Docket 07

Table management

A floor plan built with react-konva, so hosts see every table live, plus a vendor app on the App Store and Google Play.

Docket 08

Infrastructure

GCP with Cloud Run, load balancing and wildcard SSL across *.dine.surf, so every restaurant gets its own secure site.
